I inherited my grandfather’s old gardening book today. Shame he’s not still around to help me use it. Hope I’ll learn from it anyways and grow many good things.
I know from my mother that he used to grow courgettes, and when they went a little over and became accidental marrows they ate them stuffed with minced beef. We made that for dinner today with a few courgettes that were a bit far gone, and it was delicious. I can’t help but wonder what other snippets of joy I’ve missed out on. Here’s hoping I can discover them for myself.
