A box without hinges, key, or lid,
Yet golden treasure inside is hid.
Know the answer to this famous riddle from The Hobbit?
Eggses of courses. I discovered some odd little eggs this morning, laid not on the underside of a leaf but on the underside of my little greenhouse.
There are sometimes little wasp-like creatures in there, but surely a wasp would lay eggs in its hive?
Despite my better judgement telling me to remove them (I spent some considerable time today pulling endless numbers of little caterpillars off what is left of my lavaterae, grrr, munchy little blighters!!) I am quite tempted to leave them there and find out what they hatch in to.
