
We haven’t weeded the strawberry patch yet. It seemed to be doing just fine in its natural state, so we focused on clearing the opposite end of the allotment to install the produce we’ve grown ourselves.
However the strawberry patch is full of a very particular kind of plant – long thin oval furry leaves and tall spines with clusters of red flowers on the top. Help a gardening novice out here – what are these??
We’ve had those near our strawberries too. A couple of years ago. I didn’t know what they were either. I’d be interested to know

Looks like the reddish orangey one. But although it’s an invasive species we dug it out and it hasn’t returned
